Don't Just Drop and Run!

Scouting, especially in Huntstown, is very community based. We are not a drop-and-run babysitting service and inevitably there is some contribution needed from parents. Don’t be afraid to volunteer even if you can't commit to weekly meetings.

How can I contribute as a Parent?

You may be asked to car pool with other parent to transport youth members or maybe you have a van or trailer that could help us transport gear to a campsite.

Sometimes you might have a skill or experience that you could pass on to youth members.

In the past we have had parents who could supply vegetables or croissants at reduced rates for camps.

Could you weld a tent pole back for us or maybe have access to a place where we could dry tents?
